Every 'Leaseholder has received a letter From OBHA's 'Planned Delivery Manager' outlining the upcoming planned works envisaged for 2007/8, many estates have already been hit with planned works under the guise of the 'Government's 'Decent Homes for All' Initiative and are licking their financial wounds but other estates are still to be hit with such works.

For example it appears that Becton Place is yet to have any work done, as such many 'Leaseholders there will be unfamiliar with a section 20 notice. In the past we wouldn’t have been given notice of upcoming works, the first we would have known would have been the section 20’s hitting our doormats with alarming regularity. At last that seems to be changing, we hope.

Our ‘Group has been campaigning for some considerable time for more notice of such works instead of being hit with a section 20 notice without warning. At last someone seems to be listening, the letter from OBHA's 'Planned Delivery Manager' is the first step of our landlord trying to get things right but what is missing in his letters is that with so many planned works on certain estates on the table what is it going to cost? It's one thing being forewarned but we must all ask OBHA, how much is this going to cost me?

We know of one absentee 'Leaseholder who will be hit with Łthousands for planned works and he will not be alone, check your letter very carefully and put pen to paper and demand the costing pertinent to you, otherwise you could be in for a nasty shock
